ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Charles Pappas
is a senior writer at Exhibitor magazine,
where for the last 20 years he has explored the unique history of exhibiting.
His book Flying Cars, Zombie Dogs, and Robot Overlords
shows how, when the world wants to see what the future will bring,
it looks to world expos and trade shows.

Pappas is also the author of It’s a Bitter Little World,
a collection of the most go-for-the-jugular quotes from film noir.

Mathilde Pineau-Valencienne
was born in Paris and raised in both Paris and London.
As a purely bilingual product of the end of the 70s,
she loves a good French/Anglo cultural clash
and relishes in unraveling both cultures’ cliches.
After having lived in Portland USA as a French language assistant at Uni,
she taught French to Americans on her return to Paris
before starting a career in publishing.
She is un-admittedly a huge fan of the Emily in Paris Netflix show
and a connaisseur of Parisian culture and history,
having written The Little Book of Paris published by Welbeck in 2022.

was born in Dundee
and studied Geography in Durham and London.
In 2007 he quit a job in IT to study for a BA in Photography.
He is a long-suffering fan of Dundee United
and has written about them and the Scottish game in general
in the football quarterly Nutmeg.

He works as a freelance photographer
and lives with his wife in Portobello, Edinburgh.
Fifteen Days in Paris is his first book.
