Wonderful opening. I see it is a book by Linda Lappin, so I must read this one. I wrote a review for her book ‘Loving Modigliani: The Afterlife of Jeanne Hébuterne’ (you find it here: https://thecontentreader.blogspot.com/2021/05/loving-modigliani-afterlife-of-jeanne.html ). I really loved that book and would be eager to read another one by her. Will note the title.
