The quiet of the house mocked me as I rummaged through the Sunday paper looking for the travel pages. I ignored the meticulously folded “Help Wanted” section of the newspaper and the yellow highlighter that my husband had placed on the counter to remind me that I’d been unemployed for two months and needed to find a job –soon. The ring of the kitchen phone saved me from isolation and from a job search as the thick accent of my aunt came across the crackly line inviting me to move to France.

oh yes you should really read it, it’s a great one, and the author is going to publish another one next month! I just commented on your FCFP, though I did not specify that Emma at Words And Peace and at France Book Tours is actually me, the same person. I also added a veggie variation to your slow cooker lasagna in a comment!

Great opener! I loved this book, which I read last year. The author created for me a feeling of being there. Immersed in that lovely summer in France.

Hey! That’s me. Thanks, Emma.
I have another book that, hopefully, will be coming out next month. I’m working on the final edits for I See London, I See France. Here’s a blurb about that new book. After her husband of 12 years walks out in a huff one afternoon, Caroline Randolph sells her minivan and takes her three kids to Europe in a quest to find the woman she used to be before she became a wife and mother. And maybe, she’ll find the Frenchman she once loved.
Of course, you’ll hear more about the book on France Book Tours.

yes, I thought I would do something special to previous authors, and this meme sounded like the perfect thing – and more visibility.
Can’t wait to hear all about Caroline and to present her on France Book Tours! Congratulations!
