It felt like lightning had struck him. He couldn’t breathe. His mouth was dry, and his throat tight. He was free-falling. She was wildly attractive: about thirty-five, five and half feet tall, slender, with short auburn hair and brown eyes highlighted by plain eyeglasses. Her voice was soft and steady. She had a keen, friendly and reassuring look in her eyes, and a smile illuminated her face -a magnificent smile. He stared at her intensely, like a pimply teenager entranced by a Playboy cover girl.

Not planning to read it; as I say in my intro to that meme, I use it to highlight a previous book that was presented in my virtual book tours. It got great awards in France, though!

thanks. have been trying to comment on ours too, but it seems to be taking forever, so I may give up. I was trying to post this: “”urban fantasy/steampunk/mystery/historical romance”?? wow, that’s quite a mix! I soon as I see “library”, I want to go on, but I’m afraid the vampire would block my entering any further, even in such a lovely place as a library, lol”
