I am posting for this meme a passage from a book
presented on France Book Tours

Click on the book cover to know more about the book
If she was in Paris when the weather was fine, Lia loved to bring a picnic lunch to the peaceful , groomed gardens of the square. Though nothing remained of the citadel of the Knights Templar, she imagined its imposing square tower surrounded by high crenellated walls; she could hear the hoofbeats of approaching horses and the clanking of armor and ringing of steel as knights practiced swordplay in the courtyard.

Seen this one around quite a bit and didn’t realize it was set in Paris or that the Knights of Templar figured in the story. Sounds much more than what I get from that fluffy cover!

Definitely evocative! It made me immediately wonder if there was an Outlander thing going on, and from the description of the book, it sound like there is!
We’d love to have you double up on your Friday events and join us on Book Beginnings on Fridays with your Friday 56 post. Lots of people do. Read about it here: http://www.rosecityreader.com/2016/03/book-beginning-loitering-with-intent.html

yes there is, in fact one of our reviewers did make the connection with Outlander in her review.
Thanks for the invite. This is actually Emma @ Words And Peace, and I have participated in Book Beginnings. As I’m using these memes to give more visibility to the authors featured on France Book Tours, for now I use another meme on another day of the day for the Book Beginning, the more the merrier!

I like her vivid imagination. I am spotlighting Fool Me Once by Harlan Coben this week. Happy reading!
