Oooh, this snippet grabs my attention! Is it a literal curse? Is someone being haunted by their bad decisions? OH, WAIT. Someone walked THROUGH the character? Is she a ghost? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. Think I’m gonna have to pick this one up myself. Hope you enjoy it!

yes, the “through” is essential here. Indeed it’s partly a ghost story, but also historical novel, great mix of genres!
