France for me has been typically associated with everything romantic. The prospect of reading an art based mystery sounded even ‘more’ romantic for me. I’m a mystery addict. Needless to say, the book totally captivated me.
The writer’s experience as a stolen art investigator is apparent from the in-depth analysis and reasoning about art forgery/theft narrated from Marion’s perspective as a part of the story. To an art novice like me, that part of the book was nothing short of being enchanting.
Complex and suspenseful art heist on pre-Columbian art with a smart and unexpected twist. Highly recommended for lovers of art, gems, and mystery.
It ‘s an interesting, compelling and realistic mystery set in the world of art. It’s well written and the pages fly by effortlessly. I could only put it down with great difficulty, I wanted to see what happened next!
This is my first time reading a book by this author, and I can say with complete certainty that it will not be my last! It is understandable from the first page that she is a real expert on the subject.
I recommend it to anyone who loves mystery, art and France.
If you love Art Theft type thrillers this one is definitely worth picking up! Plus, it’s set in Paris which makes it a little more tempting.
I have to say that this was a very unique mystery.
This was a interesting story a worthwhile read. I thought that the plot was an instant attention grabber and the heroine very memorable and intriguing.

Oh my goodness, this book was just what I was looking for. I love art, and I like thrillers, and to have both in one book is exactly what I needed.
Fortunately, this book didn’t make it easy to pick out the perpetrators, which made it a much more enjoyable read.
I was impressed with this author’s writing and this book. The author did a good job of working the art into the story line.
You can tell she knows what she is talking about.
I thought the story flowed and kept me wanting to find out what happens next. This is a good start to a new series and I am looking forward to the next book.
Ms. Thiéblemont’s writing style is engaging and entertaining. The mystery of who is trying to obstruct Marion’s search for the missing items is well done and overall the story takes several twists and turns.
I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of this author’s work.
