SYNOPSIS
Can Amy’s rocky start in Paris turn into a happy ever after?
Amy didn’t realize how stale her life was until she jetted off to Paris without telling a soul—not even her husband—and had the adventure of a lifetime. Now as she tries to establish herself in the City of Light, she finds that despite a fun (and quirky) group of friends and the ability to indulge in French pastries whenever she wants, reinventing her life is much harder than she imagined.
Then on Amy’s thirtieth birthday, two unexpected visitors leave her wondering if she will soon be saying au revoir to Paris and the new life she’s struggled to build. Her estranged husband, Will, shows up—but is he interested in reconciliation or separation? And a young woman who arrives on Amy’s doorstep unleashes chaos that could push Amy out into the street.
As Amy’s Parisian dream starts to fall apart, she must decide: return to the stability of Will and Phoenix (if that’s even still an option) or forge her way forward in Paris? Amid secrets and surprises, set in enchanting gardens, cozy cafés, and glittering Parisian streets, Amy must choose between two very different worlds. And each has a claim on her heart.

PRAISE FOR
‘PARIS EVER AFTER’
Magnifique! Fall in love with Amy as she stumbles through her new life in Paris, gradually learning what means the most in her unscripted world. Burns’ dry sense of humor and intimate knowledge of Parisian life are woven through the story as perfectly as the Hermès scarf in one of the book’s most unforgettable scenes. Heartwarming and full of colorful characters, the surprise-filled narrative is smart, wry and poignant. You won’t want to put it down. Five stars!

Burns is a excellent tour guide for Paris.
I love how she also includes the French culture in the book, from greeting to coffee choices.
I really enjoyed this book, and would recommend this book to those who want to have a vacation in Paris.
Coffee, Chocolate or Tennis
It is a compelling read.Paris Ever After is a fun read.Paris Ever After is fiction but often fiction imitates life.
Sincere congratulations to Karen Burns for her sequel and I look forward to the making of the first book into a film.
Musings of a Writer & Unabashed Francophile
I’ve read The Paris Effect (and reviewed it) and it didn’t take me long to dive right back in for its sequel (which I’d wished for, and so glad the author delivered!)…
I couldn’t put this book down.
I also was reading this on the plane on my way home from a trip to Paris, and I loved being able to relive some spots I’d visited.
Reading To Unwind
The author does a great job keeping the story moving along. I enjoyed hearing all about Amy’s life in Paris. She did a great job not only describing her location, but also some changes in customs that she must assimilate to with living in Paris. The author did a great job bringing in life in Paris where it felt natural in the story.
Locks, Hooks and Books
The author’s talent shines by describing the details of the setting, making a reader feel as though they were part of the story.
Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers
It was filled with secrets, revelations, final goodbyes, and new beginnings… all of which add up to a surprisingly good read.
Grass Monster
After reading The Paris Effect some time ago, I was pleased to hear there would be a sequel.
Once again we are treated to the delights of Paris, with vivid descriptions of the food, buildings, gardens and culture of Paris.
Once again I didn’t want to put the book down and was eager to turn to the next page.
A perfect read for when you want to get lost and escape to a different country.
Andrea
This was a lovely book for an admitted Francophile like I am. K.S.R Burns’ novel was hard to put down, I was quickly taken with this story. Paris Ever After is a great read, perfect for your summer reading list.
Denise
I absolutely loved the author’s description of Paris, all the sights that we saw through Amy’s eyes, the things that she did there, the places where she slept, and all the description of the food that she ate in restaurants or cooked.
